For a second year, travellers are invited to reveal the secrets of Lake Luban
Also, this summer, travellers are waiting for a long-standing tourist route “Lubana Lake Secrets”, which calls for the attraction of Latvia's largest lake – Lubana – surroundings, as well as to explore 30 tourist sites and holdings in the vicinity of lake, in the territories of six municipalities: Rezekne, Madona, Luban, Prize, Rugar and Varakalans.
In addition to the Varakalans manor palace, the watercenter centre “lighthouse”, the ancient museum of the Gunar Estonians and the Smakovka Museum, Luban wetted the information centre, the stone park “Vaidavas” and other tourist attractions, the four novels of the “Lubana Lake” route will also be gathered this summer:
- The village of Icha in Burzpils, where the history of neolithic and bronze times can be recognized, as well as familiarisation with local posts,
- The deer garden “Forests”, where more than 300 stalks are present in the large Peak Coastal meadows,
- The Luban grape, where the vineyard Oscar Žvagin talks about wine production, while the tasting is available from Latvian fruit and berries in red, white and sparkling wines,
- A field “star” where you can buy a wide variety of home cheeses, as well as a sauna, a celebration room, and a nightmare.

In the last tourist season, Luban Lake's secrets were discovered by more than a thousand closest and farther visitors. It is also called for this year to visit the vicinity of the Luban Lake of Luban, which, among other things, is also the site of the first stone age in the Baltics after the resignation of ice, while it is now possible to be proud of the status of the nature reserve and a particularly friendly area for bird observation, as there are more than 250 bird species.
It should be noted that a booklet with the tourist route “Lake of Lake Lubana” can be received in the local tourism information centres of Luban (Madona BELIEVES, Lubana BELIEVES, Rēzekne District BELIEVES, Rezekne BELIEVES, rugja BELIEVES, prize BELIEVES, Varakalana BELIEVES), as well as tourist information points and visits to sites in Luban area.
