The association “Social Innovation Centre” (SIC), in cooperation with the Latvian Youth Council (LJP), invites young people to participate in the competition “civic participation and social capital of young people”. The task of the competition is to prepare a video or article that reflects the possibilities of participation of young people and examples of social capital – opportunities for mutual cooperation between young people, situations from their own experience, reflecting the importance of mutual cooperation, trust and co-operation.
Every young man from 13 to 30 years of age has a chance to win one of the competition awards – a tablet, a “smart” clock or a smartphone. Applications for tender may be submitted by 24 April 2016 at the time of the upload of tenders here.
One author can submit an unlimited number of video material and articles. Detailed information is available in the tender In by-laws.

The competition is organised under the project “Social Capital as a tool for youth civil participation in Eastern European countries” (SOCAP). The project is implemented by the association “Social Innovation Centre” in cooperation with the Latvian youth Council and partners from Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania. The project is financed by the support of the European Union's EUROPE FOR CITIZENS Programme (2014-2020). Within the framework of the project, a variety of activities are implemented for young people and youth leaders in both Latvia and partner countries.
