Online show “LV vs RU” in Luznava

In collaboration with theatre trupus QUASI-PHRONE and British Council Latvia, the foundation initiates the opportunity to watch the online format “LV vs RU” for free of charge at various Latgale post centres, where the performers have given the term “historic love of Latvian and Russian-speaking relationships”. Live shows will take place on June 11 at 19.00.

The show is based on the experience of the creative team. Everyday confessions will be loving with prestigious ethics, documentary video fragments, contemporary music, loving and sneaking.

In the process of studying, the actors learn each other's native languages. Igor Nazarenko acquires Latvian and Jānis Kronis Russian language so that they can address the part of society that has so far avoided contact due to language barriers.

The show is two-language – Latvian and Russian – with the aim of bringing together the abovementioned groups of society, with shared art experience with bilingual content being a rare event. Director Reinis Boters believes that “every citizen of Latvia, if not experienced, has at least heard of the historic and contemporary fragmentation of different groups of society. We are looking for what has contributed to this split. Perhaps it is our own imaginary and built wall, which, when you face the eye and the other side, disappears completely? '
