The Old Believers' congregation was founded in 1900, when most of the villages of the village were Štikani. A first prayer house was built on the shore of a small river. It was a small wooden masterpiece. One night, because of the neglect of people, leaving the candles lit, the gods burned. After some time, however (20.gs. In the 40 s, construction of the house on the old base was organised. This house was built by Brothers Uljans and Epifan Rogozini. Not once, the gods of the Old Believers of Štikāni have suffered from the activities of thieves and vandals. A protected art object is located in the church of the cheques. (Platpire, 2006)
