On 7 May, the Rēzekne High School (RA) had not yet been an event. The Rēzekne municipality offered to purchase their own products – rural cheese, fish, bread, vegetables, spices, herbs, various handouts of the Rēzekne municipality. The event did not end with buying and selling pleasure because a discussion was held, which highlighted the theme of “rural business opportunities and challenges”.
Mr Iveta Mietule, Faculty of Economic and Management Faculty OF RA, stated: “we must be interested in the development of the region, promote the development of the business environment by identifying and using the resources we have at our disposal. It would be a great benefit for both the university and business if we found a way to cooperate. For example, our students could carry out research in the activities of a particular company, develop marketing activities or help with the design of product design.”
RA Lectore Iveta Dembovsky gave an insight into marketing, presenting students' pooled knowledge of domestic sales in Rezekne. The education, language and design faculty lecturer Diana Apele offered to look at the design samples drawn up so far and invited domestic producers to consider both the design and the design of the trade mark. The head of THE RA Legal Advice Centre, Kristaps gailis, raised questions about the choice of business forms and documents, offering free services of the centre and receiving high-quality advice.
In the oldest consultant of the establishment “Rural Economy in Rēzekne District”, Daina Butler encouraged domestic producers to cooperate, stressing that there is a growing popularity in eco-products. The household producers shared their previous experience, highlighting the problems and outlining their activities.
It should be hoped that mutual exchange of information and networking will also result in a result in order to enable domestic producers to expand their activities more effectively, while purchasers would be able to appreciate their performance.
