13. Rezekne and Viļānu spend their book festival in Feaimes
For more than ten years, the festival festival organized by the Rural Library Support Society brings citizens to a meeting with writers and representatives of other creative professions, accountants and politicians, promoting interest in both the latest literature and the most topical developments of public political life in the country. On 22 August, THE parish of Feimaņu was already 13. Rezekne and Viļānu are celebrated by the festival, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders. Time to celebrate the festival, so part of the festival events took place in the courtyard of the cultural house.
The greatest interest in the new generation was, of course, the demonstrations of Krome's coln, the ancient Latgale arms, dresses and jewellery, as well as the pancakes baked in the fire, but there was no lack of interest in the books, the buyers crowded with the publishing house Jumava, “Nordik”, “rural newspaper”, “Tapals”, “twelve”, “mansards” stands, the tribe supplying the dictionaries and other literature issued by the “source”. In the opening event of the festival festival, the hall was overcrowded, the feimanians pleased with a really meaningful cultural program, the dance collective “Vīmins” and other self-employed performances, as well as the video film “Christian” produced by young people. The political discussion of politicians and Saeima deputies was held on roads and railways as a possible future success story of Latgale, with Janis Tutin, Dzintars hares (unity), Juris Vilniums (regional association), Janis Jurkans (united Latvia) and Edgars Jaunups (Latvia's development). It must be acknowledged that the discussion had a strong pre-election flavour this time – the position in full mutations was praised, in some places by shooting over the strip and allowing the preference for the existing one, while the opposition promised to do everything better. Here was one of the politicians, ironically, that in pre-election we will promise you to build a bridge even where there is no river. However, all politicians had to agree – rail transport is an essential factor in the economy of Latgale and the Russian embargo in this area would result in unpredictable consequences.
In the meantime, the children were able to participate in the various creative workshops, while in the afternoon, after the devil of the Saturday Feimaņu, the adult readers could meet Dzintara Tilaku (he was the only writer who had arrived in the festival), while the children met “Jumava” authors Vita Štelmaheri and her dog Rafi. In conclusion, everyone was pleased by the healing Tihovskaya family from Ludza.
The festival would not be a festival without gifts, and this time, as the Library Information Officer Anastasija Belogubova, the library of the library of the Rēzekne District, was emphasized, the parish libraries received gifts for purchase of books totalling 3276.51 EURO. This is a sincere thanks to the supporters: President of Latvia Andris Berzins, Ministry of Agriculture, Jelgava Typography, Latvian Children's Fund, Arctic Paper Baltic State SIA, National Armed Forces, SIA “White Eko”, SIA Printer, SIA VESTA-LK, “Dimela veta Latvia” for parties “unity”, “Latvian Development”, “Unified Latvia”, “Latvian Region Association”, Inesei Vaidere, Alfred Rubikam, Janis Tutin, Janis Gailišam, and festival co-operation partner LDz Cargo, “Rezekne's Ambassador”, “local Latgale newspaper”, “Panorama - Rezekne”, “local Latgale newspaper”, “Panorama - Rezekne”, “local Latgale newspaper”, “Panorama - Rezekne”, www.rezeknesnovads.lv, www.publika.lv, 13.
