Such tourism markets have been organised for several years in various cities of Latvia, in order to bring the accessibility of tourism information to the residents of the regions. The right to organise the current Latvian tourism information market is obtained by lottery and the next - 2019 tourism market venue will be Madona.
In order to increase the flow of visitors, the tourism market event in Preilos was aligned with the time of the Spring fairs of Preiles, when the production of various craftsmen and domestic producers could be purchased, as well as the large majority of plants and fruit trees.
The Vidzeme tourist market in Preilos had arrived mainly at Latgale and Vidzeme Tourism Information Centre employees less than Kurzeme. Lithuanian tourism information centres also presented their tourism offer.
The market measure was complemented by collective speeches by self-employed workers, as well as the possibility of participating in various competitions and lotteries.
The tourism information material of Rezekne was supplemented by the newly printed tourism edition “Razna National Park and the nearest tourist guide.” Visitors were interested in information about Lūznavas mud, active recreational facilities in Rezekne municipality, the tourism offer of Rezekne City and other municipalities.
