Drained field day Viļānos
On July 9, SIA “Latgale Agricultural Science Centre” (SIA LLZC) invited farmers and all stakeholders to the traditional “field day 2015”, which was held for the 16 th time this year and, as the organiser and soul of this event acknowledged, SIA 'Agricultural Science Centre', Dr agr. The Vveneranda Stramkale, both in terms of the number of participants and the number of visitors, were even more subtle than in previous years and turned into real peasant festivals. From early morning, Rēzekne - Viļānu on the edge of the highway, a series of endless cars, growled tractors, gathered farmers, not only from the nearest municipality, to familiarise themselves with the latest offer of agricultural machinery, cereal varieties, fertilizers and plant protection products, to look at best demonstrations, to familiarise themselves with the results of research on the agrotechnic techniques of arable crops, and to the growing technologies, but, above all, to get into contact with each other and to draw a breath before the big work, the grain of the grain.
There was a lot of children among the visitors because, indeed, what might be a nicer little boy, how to climb up with Daddy or Grandpa in a big comrade or a tractor cab at the wheel, and to say that he would ever become a master of his land, like the little Ricky Einar. His dad, Rēzekne Municipality, Rikavas parish farmer Ivars Poch, took over from his father Aloiza, breeds the cattle of the pure-bred Charoler breed, as well as the grain. THE CLAAS-type giant is too large for his purse, but the farmer visits every year, as it is an opportunity to meet the latest agricultural mechanisation. As well as the Riebinu municipality, the Zemgale parish farmer Janis kupris with grandsons Walter and Janis. There are more than 400 ha of land in his holding, growing grain and rapeseed. “I'm interested in a lot of things, but better than these new 200-horse tractors is to find a somewhat used technique,” the farmer says pragmatically. “I need people to look, think, it can never be bought, but such a modern technique is gradually, but it comes to the land of Latgale farmers.” The new ones are resolute, only a pity that the dairy industry is once again hard times, looking for and acquiring new outlets, including China, ”says the long-term farmer,“ Viļānu breeding and experimental station ”Chairman Leopolds Zunda.
There are also training institutions among the participants of the field, in which specialists related to the agricultural sector are prepared, including Rezekne High School, Rezekne Technical School and Malnava College. The director of the college of Malnava, Juris Bozovics, has just signed a contract with Konekesko on the supply of agricultural machinery for the training of college students. It has already been established abroad that firms are supplying demo technique samples to agricultural schools. The college of Malnava has become the centre of Latgale agricultural education, and this year will also bring the Central Latgale vocational secondary school with a classroom, but MR Bozovics thinks that the responsible officials of the Ministry of Agriculture should be more aware of how to encourage and support young people to learn the professions related to the mechanisation of agriculture in order to ensure the labour market.
IN THE field of LLZC experimentation, there are currently 14 varieties of arable crops, farmers with interest listened to the narrative of the latest and most productive varieties, fertilizers and plant protection products. Lauris Lubka says that he has recently entered into a collaboration contract with Agrochema Latvija, which supplies fertilisers to his fields, and now jointly with the firm's representative Janis Bartuli, is assessing the course of this cooperation. In Laura's holding there are more than 800 ha of land, and he is called a diagnosis by himself.
“Latgale farmer is so stubborn and cautious, with a great deal of tolerance of all the new ones, he needs to prove himself with numbers and only then he enters the business,” says Agrochema's representative Janis Bartulis, whose roots are in the parish OF Rēzekne's Mākoņkalna.
This year, 60 companies took part in the field, selling 30 craftsmen, farmers and domestic producers. Among the participants in the field, the Ministry of Agriculture, THE LLU Agrobiology Institute, THE LLU Agency “Agricultural Technical Institute” (Ulbroka), the study station of the Lithuanian Agricultural and Forest Sciences Centre, the Latvian industrial cannabis association, the National Institute for Plant Breeding, the State Stendes cereal breeding institute, the University of Rezekne, the Malnava College, the Rezekne Technical School, the Biomass Technology Centre, THE LLCC Rezekne division, the Latvian variety seed, etc. The field day was organised BY SIA LLZC, in collaboration with Viļānu and Rezekne municipality.
