Eye-to-eye with Erasmus +: Youth in Action
You know what is the Erasmus +: Youth in Action programme, but do you know how to apply for funding of the programme, how to organise such as a youth exchange project or go to European volunteering? We'll find answers together on 18 September at Daugavpils design and art secondary school “solar school” (parade street 7, cable. 118), at 11.30.
The Youth International Programmes Agency (JSPA) calls on young people, representatives of youth and various other organisations working with young people and other persons involved in youth work to participate in a seminar on the European Union (EU) programme “Erasmus +: Youth in Action”, the youth information network Eurodesk and the European Youth Portal, and also look at the Erasmus +: sport programme. The participation of young people, youth affairs specialists, local government youth affairs coordinators, youth centre workers, representatives of youth organisations and other stakeholders who would be relevant to youth growth opportunities and employment issues are invited to participate in the seminar.
Participation in the seminar is free of charge. The seminar will be held at Daugavpils design and art secondary school “solar school” (parade street 7, cable. 118, Daugavpils)

Programme programme:
11:30 – 12:20 What opportunities are offered by Erasmus +: Youth in Action and Erasmus +: sport, Eurodesk and European Youth Portal.
12:30 – 13:30 The story of the experience of Erasmus +: Youth in Action, such as the transnational initiative “redesign”, the youth mobility project “SAIL4entrepreneurSHIP” on entrepreneurship and youth work, which took place through the sailing of the Baltic Sea as well as European volunteering projects.
Erasmus + is AN EU education, training, youth and sport programme (2014-2020) to strengthen education, training, youth activities and sport in Europe.
Within the framework of the Erasmus +: Youth in Action programme, organisations and businesses have the opportunity to form non-formal education youth projects and to apply for funding in the youth international programme agency in the following types of projects: mobility projects, strategic partnership projects in the youth field and support for youth policy reform projects. In 2016, youth projects in the Erasmus +: Youth in Action programme can be presented 3 times a year.
THE Ministry of Education and Science of LATVIA is responsible for the implementation of the programme in Latvia, while the State Education Development Agency and the youth international programme agency will ensure implementation of the programme. Eurodesk is a European information network for young people. Thousands of young people across Europe are used annually by Eurodesk to search for information on study, work, travel opportunities in Europe, including partners for their projects or participants in international activities.
