The story of bats in Lūznavas manor began in spring 2016, along with the “natural concert hall” event of the long-standing bats (Plecotus auritus, also known as the brown garage). But not only is the manor of the manor of the manor, the long-eyed bat, who has obtained the word Muzis, but also the pigmejack (Pipistrellus pygmaeus), the pond Naktssikwikes (Myotis dasycneme Boie) and the Natua bats (Pipistrellus nathusii Keyserling et Blasius). The bats AT Lūznavas in the roof of the manor, in preparation for the event of the “natural concert hall”, were discovered directly by Viesturs Wintulis, together with colleague Normund Kukara, surveying the event venue and performing observations on the site at the estate. The finding has also led to the creation of a pond nightmare species protection plan in Luznava.
From May 2019 to May 2021, in cooperation with the Municipality of Alūksne as a leading partner and association “Latvian Forest and Manor Association” (BMA), Lūznavas manor is involved in the project “630 verstis full-sensed/sensation verstis”/“ 630 verst Full of Feelings/versts of Feelings ”of Latvia-Russia's cross-border cooperation programme 2014-2020.
