We are invited to participate in the competition “Day as an adventure”

This year, for the second time, “Narvesen”, together with the youth organisation Avantis, is organising a project competition “Day as an adventure”, within which youth organisations and interest centres throughout Latvia are invited to submit their ideas to promote the active lifestyle of young people in their neighbourhood, in order to receive up to EUR 2 000 for their implementation. It should be noted that last year the winners of Latgale region were Ozolaines parish “Ozo” young people who have set up an outdoor training area for the funding received in the competition.

In each region – Kurzeme, Vidzeme, Latgale, Zemgale, Riga – one topical project will be implemented, which will be determined by the selection of the jury and the vote of the public. The applications will be evaluated by Ilona Bičevska, Director of the Youth Organisation “Avantis”, supporter of the competition, “Narvesen” Chairman Catherine Judovica, and a representative of Citadele banka.
In addition, Citadele will give its special award to the project, which will be the most advisable on active lifestyle opportunities for young people with disabilities.
Project applications may be submitted by associations, foundations, as well as local authorities and agencies whose activities do not involve profit-making. Projects may include, for example, the renovation or new installation of sports facilities, the placement of active recreational places, the development of youth centres, the organisation of events or other initiatives topical and necessary in local society.
Project applications: application questionnaire and budget estimates the competition must be submitted by 22 April.
