We are invited to subscribe to the photo of Jānis Gleizda
By honouring the photograph of the excellent photograph, the photographer of the photographer of Rēzekne, John Gleizda, the municipality of Rēzekne, in collaboration with Latgale photographer, organizes a number of events that invite professional photographers and photo enthusiasts from around Latvia.
The event cycle will begin on 22 May with a photo plenary session in Jānis Gleizda's native Ilzeskalna parish, Nautrēnu parish, where the legendary photographer went to school and in other areas of the surroundings. The members of the plenary session from 22 to 24 May - three days - will be able to demonstrate their talent by perpetuating local people, buildings, Latgalian traditions, natural wealth and events. Accommodation and food at the plenary session will be provided by the municipality of Rezekne.
A variety of lectures, presentations and discussions on the daudzpusīgo photo art were also planned during the plenary session. As the author and organizer Igors Pličs said, photographers who would like to show presentations and lectures on various photographic topics such as “landscape”, “portrait”, “household photography” and others are also welcome. It will also be possible to see the technical beauty of John Glazda during the plenary session.

After the photo plenary, each member will be invited to submit the best works for the creation of the travelling exhibition. First of all, the “fruits” of the plenary session will be seen on 12 September AT Nautrēnu parish in Rogovka sports hall. This day will also reveal the memorial place of Janis Glaisd IN THE parish OF Ilzeskalna parish in Vecgailumi – a picturesque forest and lake, where the famous photographer has spent the day of childhood, introducing the beauty of nature and people, which will later highlight in his photographs.
