We call for an educational opportunity exhibition “education and career” in Rezekne on 31 March!
On Thursday, March 31, a regional vocational and higher education institution exhibition “Education and careers 2016” will be held in Rezekne, to which students of classes 8-9 are expected, as well as secondary school young people. It is an opportunity to learn about learning opportunities, the choice of the most appropriate educational and labour market, meet entrepreneurs. The exhibition will be held at the Eastern Latvian Creative Services Center (ARPC) “Zeimuļs” (Rēzekne, coast street 31) from at 11.00 to 15.00
In the exhibition, young people will be expected to attend vocational and higher education institutions from all over Latvia: the Rēzekne Technology Academy, the Riga Technical University, the Baltic International Academy, the Transport Communications Institute, the Riga Aeronautical Institute, the Rezekne Technical School, the Malnava College, the Latvian University P.Stradins medical college, the Rēzekne Art and Design Secondary School, the Barkava Professional Secondary School, as well as representatives of the National Armed Forces Recruitment Centre.
In educational institutions, young people will be able to meet both teachers and students, learn what learning and study programmes are offered by each of the institutions, which are the conditions for admission and the speciality to be obtained. The exhibition will receive advice, information materials and participate in various activities.
The exhibition visitors are awaiting competitions, a musical greeting from THE students of THE Yvanova Rēzekne music secondary school, watching the courses and diplomas of the School of Art and Design in Rezekne. The students of the region will also show their performance at the exhibition.
The exhibition of these educational opportunities has been organised by a business association in Rēzekne since 2010, in collaboration with ARPC “Zeimuļs”, a reliable and recognised co-operation partner in the youth environment. Entrepreneurs constantly support various types of initiatives in collaboration with youth organisations and educational institutions, taking part in a career week, providing traineeships to students. This year, a discussion on “young and businessman” will be held in the framework of the exhibition and representatives of the municipal council and representatives of the schools of schools in order to formulate proposals for mutual understanding and positive co-operation in the future.
Education and career exhibition is the most important exhibition of this kind in Latgale region, which is traditionally held every spring. It is a great opportunity for young people to provide useful information about future study opportunities in Latgale, if it has not been possible to attend the exhibition “School” in Ķīpsala or open door day events in educational institutions. The exhibitions have been visited annually by several hundred young people not only from Rezekne but also by other Latgale municipality.
