In order to identify the readiness of amateur choirs for the next song festivals, there are choir views in all regions of Latvia and Riga. On 16 April, in the Rēzekne cultural house, the voices of the voices of 13 Rēzekne Cors, 4 mixed, 7 women's choirs, 1 seniora choir “Septkalne” and one men's choir, Rēzekne's men's choir “Gbroadcasters”. Four Rēzekne municipality choirs were also successful in the choir competition.
The jury of the Latvian National Cultural Centre was evaluated by the jury: the conductors Janis White, Agita Ikauniece, composer Uģis Praulins.
In a mixed choir competition, the first degree diploma was received by the mixed choir “Sonitum” (conductor Jānis Mežinskis) of the University of Rēzekne and the mixed choir of Rezekne, “Ezerland” (dirigent rota straw, Anda Lipska, Erik Chudars), leaving behind the mixed cork of the Verham People's House and the mixed choir of the Ludza People's House. In the women's choir competition, competition was the most intense, there is good success in the Rēzekne municipality OF Stružānu and Dricānu parish women's choir “Townadze” under the direction of Erika Chudars and Grade 2 diploma, Maltas parish cultural house for women's choir “Madarina”, dirigent Christine Zelina, also Grade 2 diploma, however, the wealthy people of Rēzekne, the women's choir “Medicus”, the conductor Anda Lipska and Inara Skrule and the women's choir of the Latvian Polish Union of Rezekne, dirigente Irene Ivanova – 1 st degree diploma.
According to Inara Pleikšne, head of the cultural division of Rezekne District, the choir skate is an annual event of current general Latvian songs and dance festivals, the results of which are taken into account by the centre for calculating and dividing the national target grant for the remuneration of the work of artistic collective managers. An applicant for a national target grant shall be an amateur choir who has participated in the examination and, in accordance with the assessment of the stage of view, attested by the view of the view or a copy thereof, has obtained a higher grade, I, II or III diploma.
The purpose of the view is to identify the qualitative and quantitative composition of the city/municipality amateur choirs, ensure continuity of the work of amateur choirs, promote artistic growth and qualitative development of amateur choirs, develop, collect and further improve the cultural significance of the traditions of songs and dance festivals - the tradition of choir singing in preparation for the 2018 general Latvian song and dance festival. Important events in Cora's singing sector are also foreseen in 2016:
• Cesis of Latvian women and men in Cēsis, 4 June 2016,
superconductor festival in Aloy, 21 May 2016,
• Vidzeme and Latgale song day in Alūksne, 28 May 2016,
• Joseph's willow musical days in Gauja, 22-23 July 2016,
• XI Latvian Choice of Headers “Mingelos” (Jurmala Andrejs –
160), 17 September 2016.
370 choirs from all Latvia participate in this year.
