Continuing to support young people who do not work, do not receive or receive trade and are not registered in the State Agency of Employment (SEA) as unemployed, educating and engaging in the labour market, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the conditions of the project “NAMELY and DARI!” implemented by the youth international programme agency (JSPA) on 7 July 2015. In the framework of the European Commission's “Youth Guarantee” project, THE JSPA, in cooperation with local governments, will enable young people aged 15-29 years to develop their knowledge and skills in order to be more successful in training, THE activities of THE SEA and the National Education Development Agency in the context of youth guarantee, non-governmental organisations or youth centres.

When participating in the project, young people will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge, which will contribute to their involvement in working life and the acquisition of future work experience. Existing work experience in selecting new employees is a very important criterion in employers' view. The first work should not even be highly qualified and highly remunerated. According to the experience of three Latvian local government leaders, starting work even with simple tasks, the growth of their career can be successfully created.

“I got my first work experience at about 12 years in the summer months, doing heavy physical work.” It is hard to imagine today, but then we worked in the hill, piled grain sacks, the hay bales, and other agricultural works, "says Andrejs Zelapheters, Chairman of the Mayor of Madona,“ after leaving school for the subject of his studies, i chose law. Later, by changing classroom studies to non-cultural studies, i started to work in the selected speciality. When you choose a profession, young people first suggest you know who is going and whose profession coincides with your interests and hobbies so that you can enjoy it. Secondly, it is necessary to create itself as a personality, to clean up a positive attitude towards life and the ability to take responsibility, to be at the centre of events.

On the other hand, Valka's council president, Vent Armands Krauklis, achieved his first work experience by working in fields with parents and grandparents in Tricata and Gauja. The first paid work also came early. 'At the age of 14 i worked in summers for postage - that was the first job i earned money. In the 19 years i started working in a college on the grain of workers in the hill. It was enough to realize that a hard physical work is not what i would like to do all the life, and now the mayor, who was the speciality of a music teacher at Cēsis High School. “After school graduation, i started working at John Cimse Valka's music school as a teacher. It was a big challenge, too, because a new“ green cucumber ”, like me, had to prove very much to older teachers. There had to be a dignity in the eyes of the other trainers. In parallel to my work at school, i also worked at night shifts. I remember being asleep in the lessons – it was very interesting for pupils," says Vent Armands. He recommends that young people try different opportunities in a number of jobs so that they can get more professional experience and field of vision.

Maruta Plivda, Vice-President of Preilu Council, recalled that she had been helping parents in the coloza's work - grain drying and hay collection at the age of nine. “After school i chose to get a physics-mathematics teacher.” I worked for one year in the selected speciality, later working as an accounting and economic teacher for both young people and adults. However, the underlying work was linked to business. For a great surprise, i am now the Chairman of the Preiles Council. It has also been the biggest challenge since i never dreamed of it before and, of course, that i have a lot of new responsibilities and responsibilities now, "Maruta Plivda sets out her work experience, recommending that young people focus on mathematics and other precise science as they give a rational picture of the world around them.
