THE museum of Bērzgales restores the furniture of the writer Anton Rupains
Anton Rupaja's museum in Berzgale can now look at the writing desk of the writer, which has been restored as the resources allocated by the National Cultural Capital Fund (CKF). It is the first renovated object of professional restorators in the museum exhibition.
The museum of Anton Rupains has been in the birthroom for 26 years. The objects gifted to the museum are of varying degrees of preservation. One of the most difficult tasks is the preservation of these historical, unique, authentic things. In the exhibition “Rwanda Room” 19.gs the beginning and 20 th of the 20 th century, which belonged to the distinguished writer: a cupboard, a small cabinet, a desk (secreter), to which the writer worked, living in Latvia. Furniture obtained in a writer's home IN Bērzgales parish “Pour”. All these antiques are in a very poor state and are currently removed from the exhibition.
The main exhibition is planned to be transformed, modernised and included as key elements in the new exhibition - these restored furniture, so a project for restoring furniture was submitted to the State Culture Capital Fund in 2014. The project was supported and EUR 3000.00 allocated to the restoration of the desk, THE co-financing of THE parish administration of Bērzgales is EUR 500.00.
