A man. Work. Life. They are all just words, but when they bend them together, there is a message about a particular person, his accomplishment, his experience, his life. By October 19, Franz Tradog's museum “Colnasate” saw an exhibition about the counselor, the brilliant library scientist Adolf Sprudzs.

September is not only the autumn newspaper, but also the birthmonth of the library scientist, the law manager Adolf Sprudzs - 100 years ago - on 19 September 1922, a boy who chose Adolf's name was born in the Sprudzs family in Signagala. As time passed, the boy grew up and began to visit Rēzekne's commercial school, later studying at the Riga Technical School. Started studying at Latvian university in law. But then there was a loss of Latvian freedom and World War II, which also affected the future life of the new Adolf Sprudzs.

In 1944, Adolf Sprudzs, like many others, went into the refugee hallway – at first to Germany, where he studied at the University of Tibengen, after a few years he went to England, then Belgium, where he completed the Louis University. In 1951, he established a family with a probationary Janin Strodi, and in 1955 the new family moved to THE U.S., choosing Chicago as his place of residence, where he spent his life.

Adolf Sprudzs was a library scientist. During his professional career he wrote 110 scientific articles, 24 monographs, 6 bibliographies, 60 book reviews, 20 articles in scientific periodicals. His work focused on international relations, the interactions of historical events, the Baltic occupation issue. Four languages were managed. Ā. Sprudzs also analysed the lives of exile, problems, politics, studying how to preserve Latvians. It must be concluded that the Latgale Adolf Sprudzs has succeeded in his family. With his wife, Janin has raised four children who have been taught not only the Latvian language but also the Latvian Living, traditions.

The memory of Adolf Sprudzs's life and performance was shared by his son, Uģis Sprudzs, who was travelling across the ocean to participate in the opening of the exhibition “Library scientist Adolf Spruge - 100” in his father's native Sakstagala.

The exhibition is a final product for co-operation between Franz Trassa Museum “Colnasate” and the Latvian National Library – we have deposited the materials bilaterally – the museum has given his materials to the library and vice versa. On 20 September, the exhibition “not to be lost between continents” was revealed. “Sprudzs family” in Latvia's National Library in Riga, but on 24 September, THE exhibition “Library Scientist Adolf Sprudzs - 100” is present AT THE “Colnasat” Museum of Trassa in Signagala, Latvia, with the representatives of the Sprudzs family Uģis Sprudzs, representatives of the Latvian National Library, stakeholders.

In turn, the folklore's “Colnasate” (lead Madara Broisha) sang Adolf Sprudzs's favorite songs. It was a Saturday afternoon in a warm atmosphere.

The exhibition at the museum shall be held until 19 October of that year.
