Think global! Second life of municipal waste

We live at home every day we have created. The world and nature are the houses we have received when we enter. We are producing and consuming more and more new things as well as … yes. We are indignant about the landed forests, rivers, lakes, ditches. The pupils watched two movies “why sorting waste is important” and ”a conversation about the sorting of waste to children.“ ”
After watching the film, we updated the issue of waste, which means sorting waste and how long they split into nature. The pupils gave a variety of guessings on the decommissioning of waste. The children were surprised that they had to go for a long time to get into nature, the things disappeared. Food waste blows over 6 months. Paper and paperboard may be 1 to 5 years in the ground. Metal 5 – 20 years, different plastic for more than 100 years, glass objects for several hundred years.
We can give a second life to different things. Class 2b students had made musical instruments. Ludmila Masloboyeva, the nurse of the class, wrote the words. The music was written by the music teacher Irene Ivanova. We all enjoyed the performances of pupils. Each class had worked hard and prepared a variety of interesting and unusual things, giving household waste a second life. The pupils presented their performance, telling them about their unique works. At the end of the event there was a song “about a clean Latvia.”
A class 5a student Raivis Madeleans presented his own animation film “event in the forest”, which the pupils faced with great interest.
With this measure, we wanted students to understand the importance of saving and sacrificing everything that we have around us, the importance of sorting waste and reusing different materials. We are closely related to the whole world. We are all the natural particles of the world.
