Education

2015 is the time of many important events: the forthcoming presidential elections of Latvia are coming soon, the summer will be celebrated by the school youth song and dance festival, and 2015 is the year of big poets Rainis and Aspazia anniversary. A number of events related to the 150 th birthday of Rainis and Aspasia have also been held at THE Gaigalavas primary school.
In January, the 5 th grade school student Victoria Reble (consultant - teacher Erika Bozovich), 7 th grade student Imants Spīch and 9 th grade student Sidney Kalvāne (consultant – teacher Maruta Krustne) successfully participated in the Aspazija creative work competition “my seven-mile boots stand in a corner with dust covered”. All they were invited to participate in the birthday event at the Riga Latvian Society's house in the gold hall, during which the honesty of the winners of the competition also took place.
On 13 March, Anna Začevska, head of the school library, organized an event dedicated to Aspazija, where the pupils were scattering Aspazia poetry, showing their knowledge of the great authors, as well as getting new information about her life and beauty.
The participants of the school's dramatic group included the works of Raina and Aspazia. The 9 th grade school student Janis Poch Rēzekne and Viļānu of the school youth stage contest won 2 nd degree, performing Aspazija poem “kazins boots” and fragments from Saulcerne Vieses's book “Randenes Summer”, which reported the connection of little Žanina (so Raini called childhood) to the large Daugava. The 7 th grade student Imants Spīch also received Grade 2. He moved the jury with Rainey's emotional story “spitter”, in which the author imagines his childhood and his life: the pain of the first resentment and the longing of a “distant forest where the glasses house is in.” The 4 th grade student Raivo Svilane had prepared a Ryan poem called “a sea trip.”
A literary survey of “all ten” was created from Raiņa poems, which mention numbers. Lauris Kalwan, Erica Banzer, Evie Bolmane, Cynthia Reble, Victoria Reble, Dainis Rutuļs, Imants Spitch, Martin Dakule, Renata Dakule, Sidnia Kalvāne, and Laima Colney. The Student succeeded, the pupils were also invited to participate in Latgale's regional view, where Grade 1 was awarded. The competition for small forms in Latvian schools is already over, and AT national level Gaigalavas primary school holds a high 8 th place.
In Latgale Embassy “GORS”, the Aspazija and Rainis competition was held on April 10, with Gaigalavas primary school fiction readers Janis Potch and Imants Spīch and the literary composition “all ten” earned the jury compliments. The jury was a popular film director Janis Streich, retired teacher and literature Veneranda Angjāne, Saeima deputy Janis Trupovnieks. The competition included: Jānis Ivanova Rēzekne music secondary school students, pupils of the Adamovas special boarding school, students of the Alsvic Vocational High School, members of the Ludza BJC movement theatre and Gaigalavas primary school students. The event took place in an uncompressed, warm atmosphere, and was covered by “Dricānu dominante” under the direction of the musician and the songwriter Andra Eriņa. Every performance was qualitative, exciting and binding, so that all collectors were awarded 1 st place. We felt special touches, watching the performance of Alswick Vocational Schools. Students, teachers and all visitors to the event were emotionally and mentally richer. Thank the main organizer of the event, Veneranda Anjan, for the work we have done and the positive emotions we made during the competition!
Since September is the day of Ryan or poetry, the creative spirit and the poetry in pupils are hopefully not going to be lost.
