Dricānu in secondary school will seek ideas for the implementation of responsible lifestyles

The Environmental Education Fund has previously reported that, within the framework of the Ecosylum Programme, a campaign for a responsible lifestyle will be implemented this year, with a series of public-focused educational activities, activities and encouraging examples of action. It should be noted that the first of these - the cycle of regional measures - took place on 29 April.
The cycle of regional measures is intended to improve the mutual communication, experience and knowledge exchange of Ecoschools. With the help of lectures and workshops, teachers, pupils and parents will have the opportunity to understand how everyday life and simple actions can achieve significant changes in society and the quality of the environment. It is essential that the regional measures also invite schools that have not yet been involved in the Ecosylum Programme but want to learn more about a responsible lifestyle and the practical expression of the programme.
The Latgale reǵionālais event will gather ECOactivists in the National Poles of Rēzekne on May 12. The content includes an activity “Welcome Ecools”, as well as lectures on responsible lifestyles and creative approaches in education. Eight investigative workshops with representatives of Eco-schools will be followed up, bringing together the other eight themes of the programme in a creative manner. At the end of the day, the participants will go into a small hike, concluding it with a “picnic planet” – a symbolic meal that will consist of local, organically grown and otherwise “planet friendly” food.
Also, Dricānu EKOSchoa will present itself with modelled suits from candy papers, manage one familiar workshop and offer a special self-baked bread that will be offered a recipe and yeast BY the mother of Dricānu secondary school pupils, the President of the Council of Education, Solvita Justele. Thank her for your membership, tips, and time for this event!
The Ecoschool's responsible lifestyle campaign will be a link between our lifestyle, the daily choices and their importance in environmental protection and the efficient use of natural resources. As pointed out above by the Eco-Schools Coordinator in Latvia, Daniels Trukšans, “the campaign will be a great opportunity to find ways to promote curiosity and willingness to act with environmental education”.
