Activities OF THE ESF project “live healthy in Rezekne municipality” in August 2017
AS part of THE ESF project “live healthy in Rezekne District!”, the following measures are foreseen in August of that year: the project activity “Existing Health Room” will continue; measures will be implemented – a health promotion camp for children with special needs, measures “running for health” and “Health promotion Olympics”.
The number of participants of the “health-promotion camp”, “health promotion camp for children with special needs”, the number of members of the “Health Promotion Olympics” is limited, so we are invited to apply for measures in time by calling the telephone numbers below.
During the performance of the event, health self-control measurements will be possible, as well as a small look at cardiovascular health and disease prevention, information on the effects of elevated and reduced arterial blood pressure, overweight problems, changes in cholesterol and sugar levels (blood) will be provided.
In the health promotion camp, a variety of health-enhancing activities and activities will be available for children with special needs, including activities in nature through natural materials, various creative workshops, health-enhancing activities under the supervision of specialist trained animals and other activities according to age groups.
During the performance of the event, the participants will be given theoretical information on the correct and incorrect running and the effects of running on human health, as well as the possibility of participating in the practical part of the event, or in running competitions, using the correct running recommendations, which have a positive effect on individual circulatory, respiratory, nerve, internal secretion glands, bone and muscle systems. The event will be targeted at different age groups, as well as persons with special needs, with different length distances. The number of participants in this project event is not limited.
In the event “Health Promotion Olympics”, a competition is planned for the promotion of various health activities in the field of activities among the population of the 5 Rezekne District, as a whole, the event is intended for 100 participants, two days, with accommodation. The event will offer a variety of movement activities with elements of competitions (e.g. relay – running, hosting etc.), as well as the examination of the knowledge and skills of the field of health promotion.

The leader of the Rēzekne municipality project “live healthy in Rezekne District!”
The project “live healthy in Rezekne District!” (9.2.4.2/16/I/027) takes place in the specific support objective of the operational programme “Growth and Employment” of 9.2.4. “to improve access to health promotion and disease prevention services, in particular to the population at risk of poverty and social exclusion” in the framework of Measure 9.2.4.2 “Measures to promote local public health and disease prevention”. The project is financed from the European Social Fund and the State budget.
