Folklore “Zealand” in Belarus

Still, the sun was lying in the soft clouds, when THE folklore set, “Zealand”, on the morning of June 9, went to the city of Belarus in the morning of June 9 to participate in the international folklore festival “sounding cimbals and harmonics”. This was the first foreign journey of the folklore set, so there was a slight excitement, as we had, because the festival's course included a provision that the community should participate in the competition “who”. As I hurry forward, i want to tell you that in this performer competition we got the honest grade 3.
For the 29 th time, the Belarusian city, Postavi, organizes this grand international folklore collective festival. This time, it took part collectively from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and tālās India. The sympathies and ovals of all the viewers belonged directly to them, for these dark, bright, exotic clothes, smiling and good-natured boys were able to excite their rhythmic dances to every viewer. There was a lot of collections from the largest cities in Belarus. It should be noted that folklore traditions in Belarus are very ancient and artistic. All the spectators were fascinated by the sounds of the gloves and ermovics, the singing singers and the sound of the voices.
The festival was in a warm, emotional atmosphere. We got a lot of positive emotions, impressions and experience. The folklore's “Zealand” group had the honour to climb three times to the big stage in various places of the city and enjoy the listeners and the visitors of other countries with their beautiful Latgalian peoples. I want to add that no one was indifferent, seeing our new, bright and infinitely beautiful countryside. We got a lot of gifts, a lot of sincere and good words. In the big city square, we danced the people's dance hand in hand with the lovers of the people of the people of different countries, watching a fascinating local crowd, participating in the communion ritual “kumovaņije”, the nightmare in the city of Postavi, gasping from the unusual fire show that Vitebsk's artists had, and many other interesting moments.
Very pleased with this trip on the evening of June 10, we went home.
