Gaigalava primary school
THE Gaigalavas primary school was founded in 1894 as a single-year school. There were 24 pupils in it, the first teacher was Konstantin Nemajunsky.
In 1925-1926, the school year OF Gaigalavas studied 106 students at the sixteenth elementary school.
In 1937, the new school building was built on the foundation of the old manor. It was originally a Gaigalavas-seven-year-old school. THE first graduate of Gaigalavas secondary school takes place in 1959 when 22 students are graduated. From 1955 to 1991, Mr Klavcāne, V. Petrovskaya, was employed as secondary school directors. Since 1991, the director of the school is Ināra Usis. With the 2002/2003 school year, Gaigalavas secondary school was reorganised as a primary school.
Gaigalavas primary school shall be implemented:
- Basic education programme (cods21011111),
- General pre-school education programme (code 01011111) (implemented after address school street 5, Rikava, Rikavas civil parish, Rezekne municipality, LV - 4648)
- A special basic education programme for students with learning disabilities (code 21015611),
- Special basic education programme for students with mental disabilities (code 21015811).
Students are actively involved in educational programmes of interest, work in interest-based educational clusters:
- folklore “Purineņš”
- voxal ensembles
- instrument ensemble
- people's dance collective
- the dramatic crowd,
- theatre sport,
- ceramic assemblies
- natural draugi
- sports clubs
- wood-handling
- Lego robotics
“Visual plastic art” is performed at the School of Art and Design in Rēzekne.
The Rēzekne municipality, a youth sports school floating interest group in class 2 students, is studying floating skills, 3-5 school pupils in the border guard pool, an athletic training group.
The School participates in THE “Latvian State Forests” International Environmental Education Programme “Izzina Forests” - environmental education programme MAMMADABA MASTERCLASS; in collaboration with Rezekne municipality, the “career support of THE EU Structural Funds project“ career support in general and vocational education institutions ”; the European Social Fund project“ support for reduction of early school leaving ”.
