SIA “Latvian Rural Consultation and Education Centre” has been training in business for the tenth year. At the end of the study, participants receive a certificate regarding the training course, as well as they have the opportunity to participate in the competition “fields to be” to defend their business plan.

Young people from 18 to 40 years of age may participate in the event, where the knowledge acquired in courses is useful when launching or developing business in rural areas. This applies both to the implementation of ideas in the processing of agricultural products and to non-agricultural ideas related to the provision of services and to production such as carpentry.

The Rēzekne Consultation Office is genuinely pleased with the new entrepreneurs who had a successful participation in this competition, which was important for the start and development of the business. Currently, all winners of the previous years have become visible in the business environment of Rezekne, recognizable.

It is often so that when you leave a new stage and when you look back, it looks like it wasn't so difficult. It is similar to the acquisition of basic knowledge in business and the preparation of a business plan. The beginning of the realization of ideas is different. Unambiguous, the success of any industry is determined by knowledge, improvement.

Educational programmes for the acquisition of vocational education in entrepreneurship are offered by several educational institutions. Online courses are also available, as well as adding that the training is based on fees. The Latvian Rural Consultation and Education Centre, including the Rezekne Consultation Office, offers to learn the foundations of entrepreneurship in a very short time, understand the concept of marketing, the basic principles of the preparation of a business plan. Any person may apply for training that is free of charge, even if it does not yet have a clear course of action. It is in the course of the learning process that the principles of market analysis are likely to be resolved by learning the principles of generation of ideas, whether the chosen idea is correct. The lecturers demonstrate concrete positive and negative examples, make it possible to understand the risks in business and the importance of advertising.

A significant contribution is a day-to-day trip to entrepreneurs where everything is told, shown from practical experience. Successful stories are usually “charged”, inspired, encouraged. In these times there is a mutual communication between the actors themselves, which is invaluable, particularly at present.

By encouraging young people to attend training, including participation in the competition, former participants who acquired knowledge in the Rezekne Consultation Bureau, during a survey, emphasized the importance of the event. Although the course is being learned in a few days, it gives an insight and an opportunity to understand the basic principles of entrepreneurship, so whether it is encouraged to commence the realization of the idea, continue to initiate, or, in a serious assessment of the viability of the planned industry in today's market, think of other options. The ideas and mines have been crystallised during this time. The participants also welcomed the competition that it is the only way that a person has no real resources or experience but is willing to act, initiate or develop his own small business. Of course, not all can be learned, not everyone can become the winners of the competition and win the prizes, but it is a supportive start for many new or support for the development of the existing activity.

In the municipality of Rezekne, which is one of the largest in the country, business has developed strongly in recent years. A growing number of companies appear, and more interesting services are offered. There are both holiday houses, various games, favorite household sweets, meat products, dairy products, their own vineyards, a wide supply of beekeeping products, sports entertainment. But there is still a place for each targeted entrepreneur. 

The idea is enough, its surface in the air, just how to find the beginning of his real path. This is one of the ways, one of the sources of inquiry that will strengthen the foundations that will give answers to questions. Therefore, the Rēzekne advisory office calls on young people not to delay, be brave, come and know. This will make it possible to make sure what and how much you know and can.
