Skiing skiers in the ilzeskaln
When the world started to live with the winter Olympic Games in Beijing, Rēzekne municipality, on 5 February, took place in the skiing of the Rēzekne municipality.
The traditions established over the years also brought together children and adult athletes, as well as active lifestyles at a respectable age. In spite of the unpleasant weather, all age groups, domestic skipers, and athletes from Preilu municipality were represented in the competition. We could see that the skiing of the distances had always been a favorite, and now the children are delighted to climb and hide. Honourable-age athletes - someone who is recovering after illness, another struggles with weather. But everyone generally enjoys pleasure and satisfaction from physical activity in the free environment.

Children's distance (500 m): Ira Bumbesha, Sandija Uljanova, Guntars Rudzis, Vladislavs Serkov;
Group I (2 km): Madara Elksne, Armine Voiciish;
Group II (5 km): Artis Upenieks, Marcis Pineups;
Group III (5 km): Maris Lizdics;
Group IV (3 km): Erik Ribakov; Aldis Ziukmacis; Gunar Pleuksnis;
Group V (2 km classic): Stanislav Valuyev
