Traditionally, January is a month in the country when various events are held for barricades days, when the events of January 1991 in Riga are recalled, where the heart of Latvian people and the hope of all the regions of Latvia, which united all ages and professions, came to light.
AS well AS Kaunatas secondary school, this historical event is devoted not least to time and attention. Students, teachers, and stakeholders had the opportunity to explore the most important barricade events once more, reading information on the stalls prepared by the director of the director, Astica. In parallel, for the whole month, the workshop of the Municipal Research Museum was invited by its manager, a long-term Kaunatas high school history teacher, Staņislava Inkina, who offered to meet the museum exhibition devoted to the events in the country.
At the end of the month, Kaunatas high school younger pupils and their parents were waiting for another event – from the next school year, the school will also be offered the opportunity to acquire art secrets, in collaboration with the Rēzekne Art and Design Secondary School. It is therefore called for a creative meeting in classes 1-5 and their parents to explore potential artists and their environment where they will be able to develop their artistic gifts. After a meeting at school, everyone went to a tour of Latgale's cultural history museum in Rezekne, where he was able to meet the works of secondary school students at the exhibition.
