Japanese journalists are fascinated by Latgale nature, people and peace
In early July, Latgale visited eight Japanese journalists. On the way, the journalists went to Livans, Daugavpils, Kraslava, Aglona, as well as Rezekne and Ludza municipality. Journalists' priorities for this trip were crafts, culture, history, nature.
The journalists represented three important journals of Japanese life, “Moe”, “Liniere”, “Plus1 Living”, with 80 thousand to 300 thousand echoes, which devote constant attention to the past heritage and its linking to modern, craftsmanship traditions and home-prepared meals, the world view of various peoples, the understanding of values and the sources of spirituality.
On the morning of July 9, Japanese journalists arrived at Aivars and flame Ushpeals IN THE parish OF Maltas. It should be noted that the guests had to wait for more than an hour because, in all the sites visited, the journalists wanted to spend longer to look at the recipes as much as possible, ask many questions. Also in Ushmel, the journalists showed great interest in everything around them and listened to the narrative of the painting, the painting, the way of life. Here they were also met by the “Kroma colen turolist” set, the Japanese were very attracted by the narrative of the members of the group about their work, the history of the latmeat, the clothing, the jewellery, the weapons. In Souvenir and the craftsman shop, “trunk”, some journalists bought even a pile of knitted gloves and stockings, the guests were willing to buy ceramic vessels.
After the visit of Ludza to journalists in the ancient musical instrument workshop, Gunar igram, where they all became musicians, was delighted to play on the battle, interested in the cockpit game. At dinner, the fishermen, “fishermen” in the Village of Igna, took up to a late evening, still visiting the Turumnieki marshal trail and enjoying sunset at the lake. The next morning, on the way to Riga, the journalists visited Varakalans Manor and Latgale Traditional Cultural Centre “Latgale Sate” in decades, where they met Latvian traditions, handwriting and all other items shown here.
Overall, Latgale's visit was assessed as a very successful and pronounced hope of returning to the ground again, where there is still “living nature, traditions and skills”.
This is what the public relations specialist Inta Briede writes about the experience of Japanese journalists:
"After almost 20 (!) visits to the Japanese journalists were generally delighted and YOUR marketing partner in Japan, the“ Foresight Marketing ”employee, Akiko Shiga, acknowledged:“ There is so much to see in Latgale! It was the right decision to go directly to Eastern Latvia, where the journalists and tourist operators had not been transported. '(..)
“The ancient posts of Latgale are still alive. Weaving, fabric embroidery, knitting and other skills — amazing that they are not only in books described or narrowly known. In Latgale with ancient posts, people live. How can it be explained?"
As YOUR representative emphasized, one of the most brightest impressions that several journalists have mentioned is an unintended episode on the shore of Turumnieki lakes. After an easy-to-eat meal, “fishermen”, Anne Macāne, offered to take visitors to a marshal trail set up on the advice of Japanese specialists in the use of Luban wetlands. "The sun was stunned, and the lake was smooth and painted, Anna Macāne introduced the moss that made the water clean and very healthy. A journalist summarised the following: “I have been told on several occasions that people in Latvia live in close connection with nature, but now i have made it to my own eyes. There seemed to be a stopping time, an endless calm. The modern world has already lost this wealth.“ You still have it. ”
