In March, the Homo ecos association: “is implementing a programme for young people, calling for a reduction in climate change. In the framework of the programme, climate workshops in Latvia's national gymnastics are taking place, and environmentally friendly young people are also called on by the“ EGGS ”of the reperpetrators. In turn, through the use of www.2gradi.lv tools, young people have the opportunity to learn more about the impact of industrialisation on climate change, to commit themselves individually to environmentally friendly and share results in social networks.

On Tuesday, 1 March, the “eggs” video of the repertoire association “EGGS” has been viewed on the Youtube.com channel of the group (EGGS at the end of the climate) and social media. The representatives of the group emphasise that it is for young people to pay attention to the changes that are taking place so that it is not so that, after several decades, it would be regrettable to admit that nothing can be rescued. “The fact that we do not feel climate change now on our skin does not mean that they are not happening. And we must begin to act today so that the future of humanity is safe and that the planet is grateful to us. '

The project also creates a digital tool for www.2gradi.lv that will help young people and other stakeholders to better understand the impact of industrialisation on climate change, their effects globally and locally, as well as the possibility for each individual user to commit themselves to the environment and share results in social networks. The digital tool will be a particularly useful tool for teachers to talk about global warming in learning. Its content was created by project experts, Doctor Janis Brina and Physical Sciences Doctor Ojars Balzers, and developed by the Digital Media Agency “Cube”. “This tool shows how fast we spend the natural capital available to us and the fact that inactivity today could be very expensive in the future. But everyone can commit themselves to doing something to reduce their environmental impact and invite others to join them,” Jānis Brina.

In March and April, the climate workshops in Latvia's national gymnastics are continuing, in total 21 schools. In workshops, students will be able to work and engage in various activities to create new ideas for tackling climate change and find out which directly change the climate, such as seeing a greenhouse effect and how THE presence OF CO2 in a closed system contributes to increasing temperature, as well as more aware of the effects and impacts of climate change in Latvia and the world, participating in discussions. More information on workshop locations can be found on the website of the association.

All these activities are implemented in the project “Climate change in Latvia — challenges and opportunities?” co-financed BY THE EEA Financial Instrument — http://eeagrants.org/. information on the project — homoecos.lv.
