Opportunities for young people to improve skills required in the labour market
As early as autumn, young people aged 17-29, who have received secondary education, do not start and work, will have additional opportunities to acquire skills in the labour market. In the youth guarantee project implemented by the State Education Development Agency (SLA), young people will be able to improve the foreign language skills of the digital, entrepreneurial and professional orientation.
On Tuesday, August 11, the amendments approved by the government at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Cabinet Regulations “Growth and Employment of the Operational Programme” 7.2.1. “increase the employment of young people not involved in employment, education or training and the acquisition of education in the framework of the youth guarantee” measures “implementation of active labour market policy measures to promote the employment of young unemployed persons” and “implementation of initial vocational education programmes within the framework of the youth guarantee”. It is therefore intended to promote the employment of young people in employment, education or training and the acquisition of education in the youth guarantee so that they have the necessary skills and better training in the labour market. In general, the target group of the youth guarantee project is young people aged 15-29 (including). According to the National Agency's statistics, at the end of June 2020, 13 763 or 17.71 TP1T of the total number of unemployed persons were unemployed at this age in the group.
