Creation of a youth centre and improvement of premises IN Gaigalavas civil parish

In Gaigalava, the project “Creation of a youth centre and the improvement of premises in Gaigalavas parish” is implemented. The project aims at equipping young people in a cultural house - buy furniture, computer equipment and games to create an environment where you can spend your free time.
The project was presented and approved under THE EAFRD rural development programme “Rural economy diversification and the promotion of quality of life in the area of local development strategies”. The total amount of the project is EUR 3446.16. In addition, the aid from the European Agricultural Fund for the European Union is EUR 2957,50, while the co-financing of EUR 488,66 is from the budget of the municipality of Rēzekne Gaigalavas.
The opening of the youth centre “enjoy” was held on 29 August. Mārtiņš Kluks was born in the centre of the parish. The games they bought were not only young people, but also the rest of the guests who were glad to open such a centre in our village.
The working time of the Centre will be drawn up shortly with young people. The youth coordinator Liene recalls that this centre is designed for each of our parish young people who want to spend time and rest with friends. It is also planned to implement other types of projects that will allow the purchase of additional equipment and improve the facilities of the already existing youth centre.
