The new school year is planned to be launched

A few weeks later, and the new school year will begin in all educational institutions. During the previous year of school, the last two and a half months were spent in the implementation of the remote learning process. The results of the national inspection work confirm that the remote learning process has not worsened the results of the learning process. Thank you very much for all the teachers and their parents, because only a good result has been achieved in joint work.
At present, the whole community is worried about how the new school year will begin. The municipality of Rezekne, both by assessing the various risks of Covid-19 and by interviewing schools, intends to take a decision to initiate a school year, thus, on 1 September, all go to their educational institutions to participate in the knowledge day event, which will be held either indoors or outdoors, in accordance with national requirements regarding the conditions of assembly, and to provide the participants with the opportunity to distance themselves.
In the course of a school year, a teacher will also be able to decide which of the training days in classes 7-12 to be held in a remote learning process, for such decision pupils and parents will be informed at least a week before.
During training, each educational institution will have to provide a number of requirements for hygiene, distance and monitoring of the health of the person. Consequently, in a number of schools, the schedule of lessons and interactions in different classes might be different. In order to observe the distance of 2 metres, more attention will be paid to the organisation of pupils' catering, applying both a variety of lunch breaks and providing catering in addition to the premises. Schools will try to reorganize the learning process so that students, rather than students, are transferred to/from school hours, but there will be subjects (sport, household, natural sciences, etc.) where lessons will also be held in specialised cabinets.
A special role will be given to parents because they should follow the health of their children and if the child has signs of acute respiratory tract infection (fever, cough, shortness of breath), must go to a medical officer and also inform the school. The principle laid down in the spring – if the pupil has returned from a country whose disease prevention and control centre has included a national list of 14-day self-isolation, the pupil must therefore be at home, the school will provide an individual remote learning process at that time. Students who go to an educational institution with public or municipal transport will have to provide a cover of the respiratory tract (scarf, scarf, mask etc.). Educational establishments will have to comply with hygiene requirements, including hand-to-hand disinfection.
In each educational institution, the procedures for the learning process in this school year will be developed, both learners and their parents will be familiar with this procedure. Educational institutions will be invited by 26 August to inform each parent, either individually or through e-class, of the progress of the new school year. If the situation with Covid -19 is significantly deteriorating in a country or region, the local government will have to take a decision partially (in some classes) or go completely to the learning process remotely. The municipality is currently developing best practices that will include methodological advice on how to organise a learning process in the new school year, including both the requirements for learners' access to the educational institution and the requirements to be met by the educational institution (learning, catering, extra-hour events etc.).
However, let us hope that, in keeping with the essential hygiene and distance requirements, the local government will not have to take other decisions and lessons in the course of all school years, thus in an educational institution, as well as outside the school (libraries, museums, excursions and Hiking).
