In mid-August we will celebrate THE festival of Sakstagala village and F. Trassa museum “Colnasate”.

440 years ago, Sakstagals was first mentioned in history sources – when on 28 July 1582 the Polish king of Poland transferred 3 farm families from Sakstagala to the German noble Diderham Herring. From that time, many generations have changed in Sakstagala, but the populated site has developed into a parish administrative centre, where a parish was formed on 19 February 1897, which originally belonged to the Rēzekne District, but is now the parish of the Rēzekne municipality OF Dricānu.

His recognition OF Sakstagals was given by Trassu's family, especially Francim Tradog, Catholic clerk, politician, cultural and social worker, who particularly cared for Latgale and Latgalians, while encouraging education and sharing a common road with Baltic Latvians (vivids and Kurzeme). MR Tradog is the only Catholic priest who has been a museum dedicated to him for 30 years in his hometown home IN Colnasat.

On 13 August at 16.00 calls for large and small, old and new to Sakstagala, THE “Colnasate” Museum of Trassil, where the inner courtyard will have a festival concert that will take part in the folklore sets of Rezekne, the “Dricānu dominante”, while the memories of the opening of the museum will be shared by the municipality of Rēzekne'S Maltas parish cultural worker Elina prusaka. During the event, the exhibition “Sakstagala village in the contemporary era” will be revealed, which uses museum stock materials and historian early poems on Signagala. We'll present the box set “F. Tradog and his newspapers.”

In the museum exhibition house, children (up to 10 years) can be painted (smaller) or draw (larger) museum buildings, after the festive event museum inner courtyard will see an express exhibition of these works. On the other hand, the museum in the apple garden will be able to know ancient games and play.

The children and animal lovers will have the opportunity to visit horses from the “autumn foal” in the museum meadow, look at the story story, and take photos of the wall of the wall and stacks of hay in various ways.

During the festival, it will be possible to see the museum exhibitions – “The life and activity of F. Tradog”, “the world for the eyes of a small farmer” and the exhibitions – the exhibition “paper, fabric and thread …” and the exhibition of Latgale pottery works.

On the day of the event, the museum will be open to visitors. 16.00, the viewing of the museum and all the activities offered will be free.

On meeting Sakstagala in THE village OF F. Tradog, “Colnasate”!

Inta Decree,
Mr p.i., Director of the “Colnasate” Museum of Franz Trassa
