Outdoor cinema evening in Gailumi, dedicated to the Finnish film director Teuvo Tulio
On 16 July at 22:00 Ilzeskalna parish at Lake Gailums beachit will be a holiday movie evening dedicated to the director Teuvo Tulio.
Teuvo Tulio (real name Theodore Tugai) is one of the most important and most peculiar authors in Finnish cinema history, a brilliant representative of the melodrama genre; in 1936 and 1972 he took 15 plays. T. Tulio's parents were Helen Derozynski and Alexander Tugai. He had spent his childhood with his mother's parents Ieva and Antons Garšins in Latgale, the county of Rēzekne Makašānu (today - Ilzeskalna) in Sherbinyk village, moved to his mother in Helsinki in 1922. In 2005, a memorial stone was installed in THE parish in Ilzeskalna parish. In 2012, Latvian director Christine Želve Anša Epner's studio “AVE” made a film about Teuvo Tulio “Fedja”. T. Tulio's childhood memories of Latgale have affected all his beauties.
It is very important to assess and highlight the link of the director with Latgale and to introduce the society to the cultural history of the native municipality. This year the birthday of the 110 th birthday of the director is celebrated, and it is possible to raise awareness of Latgale's connection to foreign famous personalities. It is part of our cultural history.
The event will involve talks with the Latvian documentary film director and operator Ivar Zviedris, with poets and history research Ineta Atpili - Yugani and other acquaintances of this art genre, both as director and its connection to Latgale. In conclusion, the K will be shown. “Fedja” and T. Tulio film “song about a fiery red flower” (marriages tulipunica coukasta) with subtitles in English. Vincent Kūkojs will take care of the musical pauses, who will be in the evening with his man-in-law.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the viewers will be provided with a tent. For more convenience, we invite you to take the blankets or folding chairs for sitting.
In order to take care of the environment, visitors of the event are also invited to observe the motto of the information campaign in cooperation with the World Natural Resources Fund regarding resting in nature – “In nature.” What you bring, it's going to be taken away. '. With this slogan, people are encouraged to think about their habits and change them: to pay attention to the packagings of the products to be taken, not to bring anything too much so that they do not want to get rid of it halfway. Often, the birds and animals of the garbage are carried around the surroundings and the innocent packagings can become traps of death for reptiles, birds and animals. So when we rest on nature, we'll be gently against it.

The event is organised BY Ilzeskalna parish administration and Nautrēnu association management cultural centre.
