Competition “Latvian Youth Capital 2016”

Ministry of Education, in co-operation with the European Commission representation in Latvia, announces a tender “Latvian Youth Capital 2016”, to find out which city would become the central venue for youth events in the next year.
 
Such a competition is organised for the first time and aims to promote work with youth among local governments, promote local government cooperation and exchange of experience in the youth field, as well as increase the prestige of youth and youth organisations.
 
The winner will become an epicentre for the most important Latvian youth events throughout the year.
The evaluation of the status of Latvia's youth capital will take into account the evaluation of the jury and the results of the public vote.
 
Which of the municipalities will become the epicentre of young people in the next year – Cēsis municipality, the city of Jelgava, Liepāja City or Madona, in collaboration with Gulbeni?
To vote www.jauniesugalvaspilseta.lv for their youth capital until November 4! The vote can be taken every day as one of the candidates.
 
The Latvian Youth Capital 2016 is organised by the Ministry of Education and Science in cooperation with the European Commission's representation in Latvia, the youth international programme agency, the European Union of Latvia, the Latvian Youth Council and the youth organisation Avantis.
