Latgale Region invites visitors to visit Balttour 2016
From 5 to 7 February, the exhibition centre in Ķīpsala will take place at the 23 rd International Tourism Exhibition Balttour 2016, where Latgale region will traditionally present its tourism offer.
Thanks to the targeted work of the Latgale Region Development Agency and the Latgale Planning Region, as well as in support of Latgale municipalities, a large tourism offer available in Latgale – accommodation, viewing objects, active tourism opportunities etc. will be included in the region bench.
Amateurs and ancient professional masters will also be active during the exhibition at Latgale stands. Ceramic Valdis Paulins will demonstrate the process as the traditional ceramic of the top Latgale, his mastery will be shown by representatives of the Ludza amateur centre, the Lephen Arts and Crafts Centre, while he has prepared a glass art workshop for visitors. The exhibition will also participate in the Gunar igram with his musical instrument workshop, as well as representatives of the doll kingdom from Preiļi! THE representatives of THE Rotko Art Centre will involve large and small exhibitors in graphic workshops, while the visitors of the ancient Latvian lifestyle exhibition will be presented by the Kroma kolna turolist. For the first time, the Balttour exhibition will also represent all Latgale sports pride – a shiny club “locomotive”, which in 2015 became the winners of the Polish Nice League.
The annual exhibition Balttour is one of the most important events of the year in the Baltic States tourism sector. The exhibition consists of 470 exhibitors and 850 participating organisations from 40 European, Central Asia and Middle East countries. The exhibition organisers predict that this year Balttour exhibition could be visited around 30 thousand people.
