“Latvian Month” AT Kaunatas High School
On November 13, our primary school team took part in the Rezekne District competition “My Latvia 2014” and won 5 th place among 17 teams. When they introduced themselves, they spoke: “with thoughts, minds, hearts and strength, in Razna's waters we were always, we were, and we are with you, my Latvia.”
Four emotionally beautiful festive events were dedicated to Lāčplēsis Day, bringing together almost all pupils. Classes 1-4 took place in the “Superpuika” event organised by the pupils' small council, and the 9 th-12 th class young people struggled for the title “Lāčplēsis-2014” while performing many physical exercises. The winners have been cleared, but when they save the intrigue, we will find their names only in the celebration of the public holidays.
On November 11, class 1-4 pupils also gathered in the creative workshop “Festival flashlight”, where the simple glass jar turned into a beautifully shaped festival light lantern waiting for their lights on the evening of 18 November.
November 10 brought everyone to buy and sell the wickers because Martin's market is a school tradition.
The school's 7 th-9 th class competition “My Latvia” was held at Martins, where 8 erudite teams struggled for victory.
On November 7, Kaunatas high school three youth teams took part in the adventure and challenge game “New Riga guards: remember Lāčplēsis!” which took place in Gulbene.
On 5 November, six teams in Classes 5-6 participated in the school competition “what do you know about Latvia?”.
On 15 November, the festival “Latgale belt” dedicated to the day of proclamation of the Republic of Latvia will be held at the school, when the written People's belt will become our unity belt, in which we will all record our good wishes, our song and our dance to our homeland.
Also, participation in the school competition “with the heart of Rezekne” is waiting for his turn.
