Lūznavas Manor - Inclusive culture. Community, tourism and business promoter in rural areas.
In 2022, seven renovated years OF THE Lūznavas estate were circulating. At the time of its renewed existence, the estate has successfully found its place in both the vast cultural offers of Latgale region as a cultural concert and summer festival culture, as well as socially responsible development as a co-production, inclusive society, social entrepreneurship and tourism-friendly environment builder Rēzekne District.
On the basis of the cultural and other events organised by the 1098 manor (according to the Rēzekne District Tourism Information Centre statistics), more than 100 000 tourists from 52 countries, more than 900 tourist groups who also used other tourism services, including accommodation, catering, viewing of natural objects, visits to masters, etc., came to the Rēzekne municipality from 2015 to 2022. Customs co-operation partners are 63 small and large entrepreneurs, masters, self-employed (including ceramics, wood processing, souvenirs, catering services, designers, other tourism service providers, masters and other activities managers), non-governmental organisations.
There are both the best tourist attraction in Latgale, the Latgale top 10 landscape, and the most sustainable building in Latvia and many other awards, but as a larger evidence of the assessment of the activities of the manor from the public there is a Latvian-wide award for “CULTURE 2020”, as the Latvian public media annual award “kilogram of culture” in spring 2021 for the first time in the category “Culture” traveled to Latgale. And it was the public vote that was crucial to overcome both Liepaja theatre and Latvian national libraries in a friendly competition. This nomination FOR Lūznavas customs is more and more based on its defined values, in cultural history, quality, co-operation, cooperation and development.
Modern interpretation of cultural history traditions is one of the customs tasks to attract children and youth audiences. In 2022, the new permanent exhibition “Kerbedzs: following the engineering ideas” has acquired a diploma of the Latvian architecture of architecture and based on this exhibition, where both history and physics, design and technology are found in one place, the number of pupils groups is significantly increased, approximately a third (middle). 40) of the excursion groups in the year (125), including “school bags”, are groups of children and young people.
Lūznavas Manor is important work in the funding of funding for the provision of activities in the competitions of various fund projects. Over the course of 7 years, more than 90 projects have been implemented (363 600 euro). A total of 14 projects are allocated each year, but 17 projects have been implemented in 2022 (State Culture Capital, Public Integration and Latvian Environment Protection Fund, State Employment Agency, Rural Support Service, Erasmus + etc.).
The content projects focus on the organisation of professional artistic activities, the identification and promotion of the history of the manor complex, the creation of exhibitions and training materials and interactive games of the “bats” of the manor's natural symbols (also in Latgalian language), the improvement of the infrastructure of the manor park, the creation of the co-production space and the surrounding socio-economic development as a whole.
In 2022, work on the new “New European Bauhaus” the programme (focused on sustainable Community and site development) in cooperation with Croatia and Italy on the development of a social entrepreneurship ecosystem support system in Rezekne municipality.
Lūznavas Manor is a co-operation partner of the Latvian Social Entrepreneurship Association; and Journal of Social Business in Rezekne District and Latgale Regionthrough several inspiration seminars, forums (“Building Resilience and Cooperation: Social Entrepreneurship for Stronger Communities in Latvia”, LSUA and British Council), inviting representatives of various fields, including people with reduced mobility, to create an environment open to social entrepreneurship. The next step in promoting social entrepreneurship is from 2019 to build social entrepreneurship co-production space for people with reduced mobility in the old school building in the manor complex, which has historically been built in the 1930 s for a deaf school.
We're very important cooperation with the local Communitywe therefore very much appreciate its involvement in the activities of the manor, whether it would lead to the voluntary participation of young people in cultural activities, joint decorations with parish-active handicraft or the assistance of the 36 th Battalion of the National Guard in the collection of the historic park of the estate, or a shared sense of belonging to the cultural historical site. An important aspect of cooperation with the local community as well as the diversification of the tourism service is: Implementation of the Community garden (new tourism object - labyrinth) in the territory of the former stadium.
Every year at the manor. exchange of experience local government specialists from various Latvian provinces (Cēsis, Augšdaugava municipality, Lephans, Smiltene, etc.) and are pleased to see that we have also been inspired by the resurgence of several cultural heritage objects in Latgale (Alūksne, Preiļi, etc.), as well as inclusive arts, co-productions and Community events have been noticed and in 2022 we have experienced experience regarding the integration of inclusive cultures, the integration of people with disabilities in the work environment of the Latvian contemporary art centre at the Riga stock exchange, as well as being nominated for the 2022 annual “Award of Persons with Disabilities”.
In the course of 2022, the Erasmus + programme “FinlandLatviaWales (FLW) – Follow” was implemented, during which the contemporary dance artists and youth workers from Latvia, Finland and Wales, using various movement and dance-related approaches and methods for social inclusion and support for young people, formed the cohort dance show in the language. The exhibition “Rebellion” was shown, where 22 Rēzekne-led women's stories, congestions and courage, while young people from different social groups, including refugees, knew themselves and their potential through the movement and demonstrated the performances of inclusive dances.
In November, the International Project Cultural Heritage–A Foundation for Building Europe `s Future, which dealt with cultural heritage-based European development, identity perspective issues where THE Lūznavas manor representatives, together with 11 European countries – Portugal, Spain, France, Hungary, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Maltas, Italy, Slovakia, presented examples OF Lūznavas maniža practices on cultural heritage as a driving force in the development of local business and tourism, the manifestations of democracy, the active participation of the Community in the development of customs services, co-production activities, the involvement of volunteers, the preservation of local intangible cultural heritage, and the example of the modern interpretation of cultural heritage – Kerbedza exhibition.
Every year, the variety of cultural events is wide - traditional and contemporary art exhibitions, various genre chamber music concerts, and events of Latvian culture and language, promotion of literature, reading, discussion and talks, as well as being an opportunity to become a co-producer of art and business ideas. At for newly created traditions The cultural life of Rezekne may include the art and taste festival “art picnic”, the Baltic jazz festival “Skiun jazz”, a free-nature organ concert with Ivetu Apkali, a concert of concerts and exhibitions of the Adventa calendar musical festival, M.K. Churlonim's concerts and exhibition events, European cultural heritage days, cadastral dance balls, literary talks etc. To ensure the progress of high-value events, in total, in 2022, additional project resources of eur 22 825 were attached to the provision of cultural activities.
In 2023, in parallel with the traditions of cultural events established, we will work on the promotion of the creative performance of the counsellors by organising THE WORK of J. gaigala memorial, THE work of S. Berzins porcelain and the I.Haņecka Personal Exhibitions. Similarly, by integrating new technologies (electronics, 3D movies), we'll find classic music in a new sound.
In conclusion, i quote Uģi Prauliņš, who has been one of the leading representatives of Cross-over in Latvia for several decades, international recognition and national annual prizes earned the personality of the cultural sector, who, after participating in the concert of the Latvian-Swiss music project Magnetic Bach on 27 November, expressed his knowledge. - “i feel excited that the Rēzekne municipality has such modern, educated, enthusiastic and creative people who preserve cultural heritage by inviting it with contemporary content and simultaneously guarding and developing the latgalic, it is truly today and meaningful.”.
