Project of Community initiatives on “active Community Latgale” implemented at the Nautre Secondary School
A draft Community initiative at the “active Community Latgale” organised by the Centre for the Citizens of Latgale is organised by the Centre for Support Education Initiatives in cooperation with the British Council representation in Latvia, within the framework of the “active Community” project. Nautrēnu parish AT Nautrēnu High School launched an initiative entitled 'Involvement of inactive young people in the activities of the Nautrene Community by promoting new public initiatives”. Both Nautrēnu secondary school students and young people, pupils' parents, school staff and other parish residents were involved in the project. Young people were from Rēzekne Municipality Nautrēnu, Gaigalavas, Ilzeskalna, Dricānu parish, Ludza municipality parish.
The initiative was supported BY Nautrēnu parish association with co-financing, foundation “Nautrēnu secondary school support fund”, SIA “Timber Dream”.
The objective of the project was the involvement of inactive young people IN Nautrēnu Community life activities, with the enrichment of citizens' civic activity and the creation of ideas for Community development
Nautrēnu parish in the territory of the Community and the fifth parish shall be young people who have not obtained secondary or secondary education, stop training and do not participate in Community life. The reasons for this are different: the lack of finance in the family, the support of families, the absence of the divorced family, the lack of willpower, the lack of character, the unemployment …. We want to bring these young people out of the routine and, by engaging in joint Community activities, bring young people to self-awareness so that they begin to express themselves and return to society.
Seven small-scale young people were involved in 15 activities. In the course of the project, these young people, together with Nautrēnu secondary schools and other parish youth and employees, were involved in activities - the improvement of the school pond. We organized a cleaning talent. The project features an outdoor wooden furniture - tables and steps, swing-poles designed for both green-class activities and the organisation of young people.
In shared talks, the school pond was cleaned, the young people experienced positive emotions during their mutual meeting. Young people were offered to continue their education in a non-spot programme. There was also a sustainable new idea for future work. It is planned to collect parish for young people and pupils' talent in the village of Opina.
Let us ask THE leader of THE Nautrēnu parish association to continue to organise work with young people. By surveying young people, we learned that they needed courses in information technology skills, self-growth, as well as other lifelong learning courses. They should be organised by the local government and the Community in the long term.
