Useful information for children and pupils' parents

In accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 763, “Regulations regarding the start and end time of the school year and school semester 2018/2019” for general educational institutions, which implement the General Basic Education Programme and the general secondary education programme school year shall commence on 3 September 2018.
1) classes 1 to 8 and classes 10 to 11 shall end on 31 May 2019.
(2) Studies of Class 9 shall end on 17 May 2019, but the school year shall expire on 14 June 2019.
3) Studies of Class 12 shall end on 17 May 2019, but the school year shall expire on 21 June 2019.
4) for students of Classes 9 and 12, which are exempted from the prescribed national examinations, the school year shall end on 31 May 2019.
The school year consists of two semesters:
1) the first semester lasts from 3 September 2018 to 21 December 2018;
2) the second semester lasts for classes 1-8 and for students of classes 10 to 11, from 7 January 2019 to 31 May 2019;
Class 9 students, from 7 January 2019 to 14 June 2019;
For Class 12 students, from 7 January 2019 to 21 June 2019.
Students shall have the following holidays in the school year:
1) autumn holidays – from 22 October 2018 to 26 October 2018;
2) winter holidays – from 24 December 2018 to 4 January 2019;
3) spring holidays for students of classes 1-11 – from 11 March 2019 to 15 March 2019;
4) spring holidays for class 12 students – from 18 March 2019 to 22 March 2019;
5) for students of classes 1-8 and 10-11 of the summer holiday, from 3 June 2019 to 30 August 2019.
6) an educational institution shall independently take a decision on one week of additional holidays for class 1 educatees. Additional holidays are organised in the second semester.
