NVA invites employers to submit jobs for pupils during summer holidays
Employees of the State Employment Agency (SEA) throughout Latvia, from 7 March to 8 April, accept employers' applications for the implementation of the student employment measure in the summer of 2022.
To apply for the implementation of the measure, employers are invited to a branch of THE SEA in whose service territory the creation of jobs for pupils is planned. A signature with a secure electronic signature application, together with a list of jobs offered and a description of the job responsibilities, may be sent to THE NVA branch email address by employers.

If the employer wishes to create jobs for pupils in the service areas of several branches OF SEA, the signed with secure electronic signature must be sent to the e-mail address: nva@nva.gov.lv.
The provisions of the school summer employment measure provide that the employer may agree with a specific pupil on the place and time of employment, indicating that information in the application.
When implementing THE NVA pupil summer employment measure, the employer will receive a grant for a monthly salary of 50% from the national minimum monthly wage. If the employer employs a student with disabilities, THE SEA grant will be the minimum monthly salary laid down in the country. THE SEA will pay the health check to the pupil if it is provided for by the laws and regulations on compulsory health checks, as well as the insurance against accidents at the workplace. THE SNA will also pay a grant for the remuneration of the student of the student.
On the other hand, the employer will have to provide co-financing for wages, taxes and compensation for the pupil for unused leave. The monthly remuneration of pupils for full-time work must be at least in the national minimum wage of EUR 500 before tax.
We recall that students should not be employed in jobs involving increased risk to their safety, health, morality and development.
This year the planned changes to the administration of the measure - employers' contract, reports and invoices regarding implementation of the measure will need to be prepared and co-ordinated with SEA electronically - NVA CV and vacancy portal (https://cvvp.nva.gov.lv.)
The SCHOOL summer employment event FOR SEA in cooperation with employers will be implemented from 1 June to 31 August. Duration of one pupil's employment: 1 month. This year, SEA plans to create a total of 8 thousand jobs for pupils. The funding for the implementation of the measure is eur 2 406 959.
The pupils' application for participation in the summer employment event is planned to commence in the first half of May, to apply for participation in the event at the pupils will also be able to electronically fill in the application questionnaire on THE WEBSITE OF THE SEA.
In the summer of 2021, 666 employers had created 7661 SEA co-financed jobs, employing a total of 7925 pupils during three summer months. Most students tried their forces in professions such as an auxiliary worker, a labor worker, a salesperson's assistant, a product placement, a teacher's assistant, a waiter, a trade hall employee, a seasonal worker, a kitchen employee, an agricultural worker, etc. Among the participants IN the summer employment event, 56% was girls and 44% boys, 79% pupils were between 15 and 17 years of age, while the proportion of adult participants was 21% of the total number of participants.
