On restrictions on maximum mass of vehicles on municipal roads from 4 November 2019
The municipality of Rezekne informs the local government that the introduction of the seasonal maximum mass limits of vehicles on municipal roads is a coercive measure that allows the massive collapse of these roads during the spring of spring and also later, in autumn, when the road surface is reduced by its incapacity. There will be a particularly drastic reduction in the number of lifetime blankets and road sections in which the base is a clay and dusty ground.
The responsible officials of parish administrations have surveyed local road roads and, on the basis of Cabinet Regulation No. 42 of 19 January 2016, the procedures for prohibiting or restricting traffic have taken a decision regarding maximum mass restrictions on several local government roads (see in Table).
The prohibition or restrictions on vehicle traffic within the meaning of these Regulations shall not apply to operational vehicles and to vehicles which carry raw milk in freight transport tanks with a local government in a harmonised route, if the flag “raw milk vehicle” has been entered in the national register of vehicles of the State stock company “Road Traffic Safety Directorate”.
For all residents of the municipality, the request to be civil assets and, seeing that the road or road sign is damaged, immediately inform the relevant parish administration or the Rēzekne municipality utility engineer by telephone 64607170.
Changing weather may result in a change in the volume of restrictions.
