Give applicants the award for “Maltas honorary citizen”
By 10 November at 16.00 Maltas parish institutions or undertakings established in its territory, as well AS the Consultative Council OF Maltas parish residents may submit applications for the award of the award “Maltas parish citizen”.
The Law prescribes that the parish highest award per year may be granted only to one person for significant works or merit IN the development of Maltas parish, education, medicine, culture, sports and parish in the formation of a positive image, economic or social activity, the performance of local government functions in important areas. In addition, it may also be granted to nationals of the Republic of Latvia or permanent residents whose residence is not declared in the parish OF Maltas but whose activities correspond to those merit. Applications will be examined specifically by the Commission.
THE award of Maltas parish honorary award was renewed after several years of interruption (not delivered since 2008) and was linked to administrative territorial and structural changes. But the award was renewed by THE Consultative Council OF Maltas parish residents and was supported by Edgars Blinovs, head of the “Maltas Association Board” of the municipality of Rezekne, confirming the amendments to the “Law on the award of THE name OF THE honorable citizen OF Maltas”.
The presentation of the name and honour of the honorary citizen is provided for in the celebration of the 104 th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia at the celebration of 18 November. 18.00 Maltas in the cultural house. Similarly, Maltas parish institutions are invited to nominate their employees to receive thanks, which will also be solemnly presented at the national holiday event IN THE CN.
