The closing of the “cultural root” project or the “O, bobbie!” In rogovka

30 May at 20:00 Rēzekne takes place IN a Nautrēnu parish cultural house in Rogovka with a fun večerinka “O, bobbie!” “a project“ cultural roots ”will be concluded, where the People's Musicans and chapels will meet, confirming that the cultural traditions of the People are viable and continue to develop in the modern cultural environment.
From March to mid-May, the People's Musicist Society, the association “Rogovskis” and the association “Rēzekne City Theatre-studio“ Joriks ”, in the framework of the“ cultural root ”project, participated in practical masterworkshops where the traditional cultural values of Latgalians, Polish, Belarusians and Russians in Latgale have been recognized, sharing mutual positive experiences, organising events for the people of different nationalities and agreeing to a joint People's Music concert.
The closing of the “cultural root” project will be heard in the festival “O, bobbie!” which will take place in Rogovka for a third year. The name of the event “O, bomb!” comes from the name of the tin sheet in latgalically, so that the musicians' presentation is also covered with a “gonga bomb” by slapping the bedside or tin sheet.
This year, in Rogovka, the local People's Musicans Peteris Bilinskis, Janis Bilinskis, Roberts Jurkrs and Ivars Rjabovskis from (Rogovka), the neighbour of the neighbour of the People's Musicanti Oļegs Kondratyev (Briedruciems), Janis Kalva (Gaigalava), Anna Vischer (Ilzeskalns), Vincent Kokoy, Irene Snout and Iveta Dukaļska (Rezekne), Voldemar Žegurs, Andris Kazinovskis, Eventijs, and Aivars Zelchi (Balvi), Dainis Babans (Medneva), Anton Savickis (Kaunata), the Chapel “Malnava musicists”, and the musicians of the “Salnava dancus”, the chapel “Malnava musicians”, and the musicians of the “Salnava dancus”,
It is also interesting to see the history of the event, which was told by the “Rogovkins” association – once in Rogovka, in the autumn after the “smotra tierga”, the poet and the artist Anton's cake (1940-2007) at the home of a crowded guests, among them also the musicians Janis Faugots and Anton Savickis, who played acordeone and ermoņics, while the others have joined with the instruments found on the farm – spoons, boiler covers, and boiler (tin sheet), where a vibrating loud and miraculous sound occurs when the others are struck by a wooden yard. The musice—Anton's house went home every year and had been heard in a distant neighborhood, and the master also gave it the name “O, bobbie!”.
Thanks TO THE initiative of Nellija Vilumas, head of THE cultural house OF Nautrēnu, the event in Rogovka continues and a number of participants in the “cultural root” project will also participate in this year. We'll be waiting for everyone to sing and dancing in Rogovka and continue to know the cultural roots deeper!
