Project competition for local Community initiatives

Each year, British Council representation in Latvia, together with various partners, implement more than 40 projects, one of which is to help integrate into society and actively participate in decision-making in their communities.

In order to achieve an even wider society, as well as to support local Community initiatives for a more cohesive society, the “active Community” programme of the British Council is launching a project competition aimed at supporting local Community projects which:

• encourage and support representatives of the various groups of society to initiate Community initiatives which provide positive and lasting changes to the Community
• create conditions and encourage representatives of the Communities to express their views, to actively participate and participate in Community processes and activities
• stimulates cooperation between different groups of society and the Communities by promoting the cohesion of society.

Project tender applications with reference to “active Community project tender” shall be submitted by 2019 30 Novemberby sending them electronically to e-mail: mail@britishcouncil.lv or by post to the office of the British Council in Latvia (Alberta Street 13, Riga, LV-1010).
