The first day of travellers will be held in Razna National Park
By promoting Razna National Park (Razna NP) natural wealth and tourism opportunities, as well as celebrating the park's ten years, Saturday, August 5, Razna NP will be the first travellers' day. It will invite every lead in exciting excursions, hiking, cycling, and other educational and creative activities. The event is organised by the Environmental Protection Board (administration) in cooperation with local governments, tourism service providers and entrepreneurs.
“Razna National Park was created ten years ago not only to preserve natural values but also to promote sustainable development and natural tourism. It is a place to know Latgales – the natural and cultural historical values of the blue lakes, to enjoy the beauty of the landscape, to evaluate the hospitality of Latgalians, to explore the skills and traditions of the post-peoples of the generations. In order to develop this area as a single tourist destination, in 2017, the administration, as well as the municipalities of Rezekne, Dagda and Ludza, concluded a cooperation agreement. Travelers' Day is the first wonderful event that has managed to realize,“ emphasizes the initiator of the idea, the Regina Indriķe, head of the administrative centre “Razna”.
It will be an opportunity for both the local population and the visitors to learn better from the far-reaching park. “Someone will have a new day of discovery.” Someone might look at other eyes. I invite you to go to Razna National Park and hope that the first day of travellers will gather a lot of stakeholders, ”says R. Indriķe.
Management specialists and local guides will be able to go into different hikes and explore natural values in several natural sites. The hosts will be able to travel to get acquainted with the surroundings of Salt Lake and the forests on the oscillating terrain forms. Those who are friends with bicycles will be able to pick one of the toys – “Ezzer-Andrupenes” or “Razna-Andrupenes semiconductor”. There is also a visit to the municipality of Andrupenes marshes, Piloros oak stands, Mākoņkalna, Lūznavas, AND the treasure of the natural and cultural history of Jaundomes, various games and creative workshops.
On the day of the event, the route “Rezekne-Lūznava-Lipu ški-Rēzekne” will also be a free bus. The people of Rezekne, especially families with children, are invited to take the opportunity to go excursion (previously logged) and visit both natural sites and participate in creative and exploratory activities and workshops at the regional entrepreneurs and natural education centre “Razna”. There will also be a free-nature exhibition created by the Latvian Natural Fund for the big revolt, as well as the film “two lakes.” One rebel impressions.
