A monument dedicated to the memorial of Vladislava Lōch will be discovered in Rezekne
At 12.00 on 27 April, a event dedicated to the memorial of the Latgalian book publisher and public employee Vladislava Lōča will begin at 12.00, during which a monument created by the artist Ivo Falkmanis will be opened.
The participants of the event will have the opportunity to watch the documentary film produced by the producer group “3 spoons honey” (“3KM”), which talks about THE lives of V. Litch in Germany. A catalogue of “Androyva Jūrdja Foundation” “Andryva Jūrdža Foundation” issued by the association “Latgale Traditional Cultural Centre” will be presented.
Vladislavs Lukcis (1912 –1984) is a writer, the most prominent publisher of Latgalian books. Born IN Dricānu parish in Lōči village. In 1939 he established a publishing house in Daugavpils, where the most brightest works of Latgalian literature were issued. The publishing activity WAS developed by V. Lōcis during World War Ii, issuing the newspaper “Latgola Bols”, which came out in 1 281 800 copies in less than one and a half years.
In 1944, part of the publishing house was emigrated to Germany, where the publishing company was renewed in 1947. Over 130 books in Latgalian language have been issued in the period until 1985. MR Lōcis was the initiator of the “radio free Europe/radio freedom” programme “Latgola Bols”. A fighter fighter against Latvia's occupation became Daugavpils Sv. The preservation of Peter and Pilcene's gods, the rehabilitation process of the Soviet regime's repressed bishop Kazimir Duļbinski, protested against the repression of Stapona Seyle.
The magazine of v.l. was the inheritance of the written word to the people, with his perseverance and idealism, he devoted his life to the preservation of the cultural and language of the People, his contribution to be seen in the “Latgale writer's museum” in Rezekne.

For the establishment of a memorial site, the Rēzekne Technology Academy received financial support from the Ministry of Culture at EUR 18 000. For the implementation of the idea, donations were also received from entrepreneurs and individuals.
