Rēzekne District Administrative Inspectorate will be led by Vija Netle-Galeum

On 3 January 2022, the head of the administrative inspection of the newly formed municipality of Rezekne was launched by the head of the Administrative Inspectorate of the Central Administration of Rezekne, Netle-Galeum, which was selected for this work by open competition.

So far, since 2013, Wia Netle-Galeum led the police department of the National Police Department of Rēzekne, before serving as the head of the Rēzekne District Investigation Division and also as a police investigator in the pre-beginning of his career. Vija Netle-Galeum acquired a professional master's degree in the Latvian Police Academy with the qualification of a lawyer, as well as regularly participated in various training courses, including the administrative infringement process, the management of staff, the prevention of conflicts, the protection of children's rights and others.

“While working in the national police, i have a great deal of experience and professional expertise in dealing with legal issues,” said the head of the administrative inspection. “I can examine, objectively and legally, the various types of submissions, take reasonable decisions and find the best solutions even in difficult situations. I've always been involved - i'm driving, talking to people, because personally knowing the problem, i can better solve it. 'In addition, Via Netlei-Galeia has experience in managing a large collective and organising daily work – more than 40 people worked under her authority.

Six inspectors will be working together with manager Rezekne in the administrative inspection. Two inspectors' sites have already been filled in, keeping the work of the previous Viļānu municipality police inspectors, while four inspectors were launched, and the results will be evaluated by the new manager during the first working days. The Bureau of Administrative Inspectorate will be located in the premises of Audiros – former Audriņu primary school, but the daily work for inspectors will mostly be in parish.

“Control of the implementation of the binding regulations of the local government, illegal disposal of waste in suburban forests, the non-copying of slums and their land properties” – the main violations that will be “to be fought” for the administrative inspection were listed by the executive director of the municipality of Rezekne, Janis Troška. “The field of work will be wide. To be able to control compliance with the law, and to maintain a link with the people, so that they know that they can get to the inspectors and trust their troubles or suspicions! '
