Rēzekne District Maltas village – 85
The Rēzekne municipality, Maltas village, will celebrate the 85-year anniversary on 2 July. Celebration program will begin at 10.00 with Sv. Mass Rosentova in Roman Catholic Church. All day, there will be a variety of activities and attractions in which both large and small celebrators can participate. The festival will be a great opportunity to meet neighbors, relatives, friends, and guests from neighborhood parish to join together.
THE historic story of THE Maltas name is much deeper in ancient history, according to both archaeological excavations and historical events related to both Rozentova's estate, Rozentova parish and Borova's name. At the beginning OF THE present Maltas, the beginning of the 19 th century, when a highway “St. Petersburg-Warsaw” and a railway line were built through the area, a new populated area of Borova (Borova) began to form around the horse-mail station.
This year is the 85 th anniversary of THE 11 TH anniversary of THE title of Maltas, which is due to be published on 2 July 1937, when the Order of the Minister OF the Interior, MR Swans and the Director of the Local Government Department, was issued, and the Order of the Gauča on the renaming of villages with which Borovaya was renamed Malta. In Malta, the cultural historical heritage is still alive, the history museum of Maltas, which promotes the new material and intangible values of the early generations of the parish, and the creation of appropriate collections, exhibitions and educational events.
