The municipality of Rezekne has implemented the project “Protection and monitoring of fish resources in Luban wetlands”

At the Council meeting of 9 June 2017, the project “Protection and monitoring of fish resources in the Luban Wetlands” was supported by a total amount OF EUR 6590 (the funding of the fish fund EUR 4710.00, the municipal co-financing OF EUR 1830,00 and the co-financing of the association “Lubana Vilnis” 50,00 EUR).
As a result of the implementation of the project, a glassware boat with an outboard petrol engine was purchased to ensure the monitoring and protection of fish resources in Luban wetlands in water bodies and watercourses.
The implementation of the project will contribute to the conservation and protection of fish resources in the Luban wetlands as a regular survey of water bodies and watercourses will be ensured, resulting in a reduction in the number of fishing and fishing rules.
