The municipality of Rezekne has implemented the project “Propagation of fish resources in Razna Lake”

On June 11, 2019, the Razna Lake was placed in 40 000 pivoted juveniles, which was provided by SIA “ore fish farm”.
By complementing fish resources with pivotal juveniles, the long-term exploitation of Razna Lake fish will be encouraged and the conservation of fish resources, particularly important for local lake populations, where fishing is a significant source of livelihoods.
At the Council meeting on 26 March 2019, the project “Propagation of fish resources in Razna Lake” was supported.
The total cost of the project is EUR 11 761.20 (from which the financing of the Latvian Fish Fund – 9 000.00 EURO, the municipality of Rezekne – 2361,20 EURO, the project partners – the association “Razna fisherman” - 300,00 EURO and “Razna National Park Society” - 100.00 EUR).
